Third Eye Unreal Engine 4, Oculus Rift, Kinect
A meditation game that includes use of Oculus Rift, Kinect, Bio heart rate sensor targeted at healing and relaxation for possible medical use
Our initial intention was to allow player relax and guide him through meditation poses in a beautiful world while wearing an Oculus Rift and sitting on a semi-sphere yoga ball. He is supposed to stay still to match the designated meditation pose according to narrator instruction. A Kinect is used to track and match the pose of player and designed meditation pose. A Bio sensor is used to detect the heart rate of the player as an indication of whether the player is truly relaxed.
I was responsible for the core game-play, hardware integration(Oculus Rift and Kinect), special effects (waterfall and fireflies). This video elaborates how the game looked like when playing. The player can freely look around in this beautiful world while sitting on a little boat. The number in the center indicated the heart rate of the player, and Kinect is calculating as background to determine whether the player falls out of acceptable pose.
