Physically Based Laplacian Growth C++, OpenGL, Maya
This is a physicallybased simulation of Laplacian growth using Dielectric Breakdown Model (DBM). It takes in 3D manifolds including cube, sphere, and any arbitrary mesh (represented in OBJ file), and output growth effect data points which can be rendered in Maya.
Our model successfully simulated the following natural growth:
- Ice growth, in a sphere bound
- Lightning growth, in two points
- Vine growth, in a mesh(Stanford Bunny) bound
- Snow Flake, on a surface
